Most of the province is rural, with low mountains and small farming villages in traditional style. There may be only one dirt road in and out. Main roads between the bigger towns are 2 lanes; Highway 1 expands form that occasionally (but much of it has been under construction for years, and remains rough). The main towns adequatly supply modern convenience.
